What is it? 

Developed by the National Cyber Security Centre, Cyber Essentials is designed to help you protect your business from common online threats and demonstrate to others your commitment to cyber security.

Having Cyber Essentials is a mandatory requirement for Government and many public sector contracts.

For small companies without a dedicated IT function it can be difficult to know if you’re taking all the necessary precautions. The Cyber Essentials standard clearly lays these out and will help you to ensure that you have taken sensible measures to protect your business from data loss and/or cyber threats.

To achieve this standard, you will need to complete and submit a questionnaire which describes the measures you have in place. We can provide impartial advice and guidance on how to interpret the requirements, or in making improvements within your business.
