What is it?

Any business designing, developing, manufacturing, installing or servicing within the automotive sector should consider IATF 16949, one of the automotive industry’s most widely used international standards for quality management.

Set by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), the standard is similar to the ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard, but emphasises defect prevention and includes specific requirements of the automotive sector.

Many companies demand this standard as a minimum requirement for an organisation to become a supplier to them.
